Kia Ora
from the Playful Heart Project… what are we up to? “Ideation!” We are at the
ideation stage of our creative thinking process. This means we are collecting
and connecting ideas – this is the fun part! We have made a big A-frame chalk/post-it
board “The Playwall” set up at Te Manawa which is collecting ideas! “What makes
you want to play” “What is your favourite outdoor game” are just some of the
questions we’ve been asking. We’ve had a range of responses and ideas! Its been
really cool to see kids as young as 4 and the mums and dads all engaging with
our Playwall. Check out our photos here or on facebook! https://www.facebook.com/PlayfulheartProject

Time to Play! The Playful Heart Project...
Kia ora! We are Kim Ross & Emily Hudson Design Thinking Interns at Te Manawa Museum Palmerston North. Our mission is to create Palmerston Norths Playful Heart! Keep reading!
Our mission is to use creative thinking to engage with the community of Palmerston North to create a unique outdoor playground at Te Manawa Museum. This playground will be driven by the communities needs, values and ideas highlighted throughout this creative thinking process, becoming Palmerston Norths “Playful Heart.”
Playful Heart will be inclusive and engaging of all ages and social groups, and will reflect a community driven atmosphere where laughter can be heard. This space aims to be just as enjoyable for adults as it is for children.
Palmerston Norths Playful Heart is an initiative driven by Te Manawa’s idea of a Museum without walls. The idea is to blur the boundaries of traditional opinions of how people view and interact with the museum.
